Yahoo Japan to block access from the EU/UK for GDPR reasons
itmedia.co.jpYahoo is still one of the largest providers of mail/news/shopping in Japan. From 6th April they will block all access to the services for visitors from the EU/UK due to GRPR compliance. This will hugely affect all expat Japanese living in the EU/UK.
There are an estimated 200,000 Japanese citizens living in the EU/UK.
"GDPR reasons" lol. AKA we do shady stuff with personal data and don't want to bother with useless things like user consent.
