Couple that with numerous random stickers found on mailboxes, sign and traffic poles, and near alleyways, QR code is getting trusted less and less by the day.

    Thanks.

    The original site has an obnoxious cookie popup that covers the whole screen and more to the point here you have to scroll to click the buttons on mobile.

Deployers of QR code MUST now embed some form of a checksum value of undisclosed algorithm to protect the original URL.

Hence another frontier of cat-and-mouse game of security theater has emerged.
