A click bait title for Calico, which, yes, is researching aging, but also has built a serious pipeline of therapies for a range of diseases, including major deals with AbbVie and others.
Another project for Google to "kill"
Calico doesn't seem to be under threat by the bean counters. It's a pet project with funding from founders and lots of rich people out of silicon valley. They want to live as long as possible, so it's probably gonna be around until they die (or succeed.)
