Open source developer corrupts widely-used libraries, affecting tons of projects

I just want to publicly, and for any future readers, state that my take here is wrong. Marak has been in some trouble lately[1], and this looks like a mental break, not just internet tomfoolery. I wish them whatever help they may need.

As someone who open sourced a lot of my code as well, I could also see a lot of potential scenarios that would piss me off.
Some of the stuff I made is open source because it might help others like myself. But every code you put out there also means work. If my code was then used by Amazon, Google and Microsoft, which would push a ton of work my way without donating the money for my time, it would certainly create some pressure.
Maybe we need other licenses that exclude Megacorps or somehow mitigate the problems stemming from their monopolistic existence?
