Texas Instruments signing key controversy

I really, really wish there were an open source graphing calculator to compete with TI, given how Apple-like they're going with their lockdown of it. (And NumWorks is not one: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=29681360)

So if I am reading this right, they sent out fraudulent DMCA takedown notices and faced no repercussions for doing so?
