I was thinking about similar web app idea, a social bookmarking app. I think this idea has really nice potential. The bookmarking base where other users could see which user has it's own most favourite sites to visit. Keep working on it.

Really enjoying the simplicity. Also, great homepage: people get to see what it's all about directly. What are your plans moving forward?

Thanks so much! I’ve actually been using it myself for the past 6 months or so just to see how I would like it to function, that’s where the bookmarklet came from.

I’d also like to have an iOS app to make link saving that much more seemless on mobile.

I’ve also thought about a chrome plugin that would allow you to easily save opened tabs. Having too many open tabs was originally my motivation for creating linkhorse.

I’ve taken a look but I only have a mobile phone at hand for a few days. I can’t find any info on how this works, where the data is stored or a privacy policy. Is there a link when you are on the desktop version of that website?

Oh interesting, on mobile you have to click the link twice because the first click just triggers the hover state which shows the edit button. I should probably change how that works on mobile.

No privacy policy yet as I’ve just created this as a personal tool, but the backend is hosted on heroku.
