Twitter compiles a list of your interests and won't let you opt out

Lots of seeming duplicates and things I'm not remotely interested in as well.
My observation as well—I have an account that I’ve set up for some automated notifications and it’s apparently into everything.
I hate it!
I have a memo that reminds me to clean it up every x days
