Shopify launches NFT minting shopfront (beta)

Guess, it's where the money is for Shopify.

Personally, I still associate it with scams or new style money laundering

Anyone who are familiar with this and can explain it?

Honestly isn't this all like a big scam aren't you just buying air/electrons in the end.

I can "mint" an NFT which basically is like a checksum of a image for instance that is encoded(minted) in the etherium blockchain - then this can be sold/transferred to different wallets?

Have i got this right?

Shopify has terrible bot protection. Like so bad that it actually favors bots. This means that nfts will all be mined by bots
