Steve Jobs, Movie Mogul/Pixar looking for second big hit in A Bug's Life (1998)

I had the look up that film to jog my memory of what it was actually about. Looks like it went the way of the 12" Macbook though; neat in concept, shaky in execution, and ultimately forgotten by time.
In the Top 10 for Domestic Revenue in 1998. Made $360 million globally. I’d say most movies will be forgotten by time.

Wildly successful children’s movie seen by many millions of children.
I remember it being fairly cutting edge at the time, an accomplishment that helped bolster the nascent Pixar’s reputation as a global animation powerhouse.
Out of curiosity, what about its execution was shaky, and what would you do differently?
