Show HN: RemoteLy – Receive curated remote jobs directly in your email
https://www.tryremotely.xyz/
Looking for next remote job? RemoteLy will hand curate jobs from 100s of sites, job boards, etc. directly in your email :)
Personal backstory - I am Kumar, based in Bangalore, India. I have been looking for remote job (but not into developer/technology, but in other fields like marketing/analytics etc), however it was difficult to search so many sites on daily/weekly basis and then collating the same information and re-searching it again on every week for new jobs.
To solve this, was searching if any similar tools available online. There are few but unfortunately only caters to [Tech] fields only and that too give limited info, so having my current job searching need in mind, have build 'RemoteLy'
RemoteLy enriches the information about the role/company beyond the description, it provides information about :
- Job Location (Remote US, Remote EU, Remote Anywhere) - $ Salary Range - Skills (Developer - Python, PHP, etc) - Visa offered (Y/N) - Equity offered (Y/N) - company's social media profile (like twitter, LinkedIn etc) Company Funding Details - $ funded - $ funding round (YC, Seed, Series A, B, C)
Have built this using all NoCode tools only (i.e. Softr, Airtable, Tally Forms & Gumroad)
20% discount on annual plan for HN users/readers - code -- 'hn20'
I look forward to your feedback, and questions on RemoteLy!
also, reachable for any questions, etc DM on Twitter. Lol, when I read remote jobs, I was thinking this was going to email me queued sidekiq tasks as they were picked up. I need to take a break from the keyboard. Thanks for your feedback. Link to sample if you don't want to provide email: https://airtable.com/shr21RvJOiyn0LsF5 It works in incognito mode and on another device with a different IP address so I assume it works anywhere. Also potential flaw with the product if the paid stuff is delivered the same way. Hi, Thanks for the feedback. Glad you liked it. every week we refresh the free remote jobs, so feel free to use it as you like, with or without submitting email :)
having the emails, help us to email you any feature added (as we are working on connecting employer looking for hiring with the available candidates, you can. Its free for the jobseeker, so its faster for us to connect with available. check the roadmap of upcoming features here)https://www.tryremotely.xyz/roadmap regarding the 2nd comment on the flaw part, it is not a flat. the table for the paid one is different URL, and it will have much more jobs than this one, possibly in 100s or 1000s based on skills/role/#of years etc and it will customized and not one size fit all. happy to reply if any feedback or questions. Thanks again Could you are more about your tech stack and what was the most challenging part of using nocode tools? Thanks for checking the product.
Its build on Softr & Airtable mainly, and main challenge of using no-code is mainly customization isn't that easy. So, almost all jobs now? Not sure if i fully understood the question, if not, apology in advance, please elaborate your question. currently we are at early stages, every week, we will be hand curating 1000s of jobs across 100s of site and career pages of company/startups, and bucket into various skills, enrich with funded/with Visa/relocation, social media handled, unique features etc. a) those who are paid subscriber. (<$8 per month)
i)they will get full list of data as per their skills/location/years of exp
selected.
ii) Also, the paid users, we already have their preferred job info,
we will help them to connect with remote company who are hiring for, much
faster for them to connect Yeah sorry that wasn't super constructive of me, I apologize for the brevity, busy day. I was really just making the comment that it seems much of the world is going remote right now, so i'm assuming this will be a lot of the available jobs. Do you have any idea how many jobs you're including v's omitting based on the criteria you use? extremely great question.
The numbers of jobs we will fetch will be based on two things a) skills/location/years of exp candidate is looking for b) how many jobs will be in that segment. for e.g. if someone is looking for JavaScript, remote anywhere, 3 years of exp - it will show 1000s of jobs in a month, whereas if someone is selected, general counsel, remote anywhere, 5 years of experience - it may fetch 100 job. the jobs you're seeing on airtable its just sample, and not a complete list, we're just started and wanted to get users feedback on whats work for them, if any feedback, so that we can modified the product accordingly. we will launch this fully around mid jan 2022. our ultimate aim is to pick relevant jobs and not #of job, as the candidate can only do 1 job which S/he will be happy :) hope this explain, if not, please ask will be glad to answer, i am also reachable on twitter @_santoshkumar99
b) free users will get a subset of this of limited records, they can still use the list and apply online. We launched on HN, just 4 hours back, and already 2 companies are asking for
how many candidates are available to hire.
