BBC: Vaccine Booster Schedule Accelerated to 3 Months
bbc.co.ukWe don't actually have a new booster that takes omicron into account, but better safe than sorry! Let us know how it goes!
This Omicron variant seems like an obvious coverup for vaccine failure now that flu-season is here. But I may be wrong.
I mean it probably exists as a variant, but there are many variants and probably nothing special about this one except marketing because it's politically convenient.
Do you enjoy regurgitating the same comment over and over again? Please keep your anti-mask/anti-vaccine garbage to yourself.
I'm getting tired of being right every time. I'd love if the vaccine worked and I didn't have to hear about Covid ever again in my life. But obviously that's not going to happen and there isn't a plan for it to happen.
I'd also love if we had ongoing scientific trials in every country where the vaccine is being used with control groups and all those nice things traditional science used to have. But sadly new-science seems to be just politics and marketing, so we just keep surfing click-bait after click-bait article through this pandemic without really going anywhere.
We don't even have a decent model of the seasonality of Covid, because seasonality is very useful politically to pretend measures are working.
> I'd love if the vaccine worked Ummm, it does. Really well, too.
> I'd love if the vaccine worked and I didn't have to hear about Covid ever again in my life. But obviously that's not going to happen and there isn't a plan for it to happen.
There isn't a plan for it? You dork. Knock off the stupid political conspiracy theory garbage. It'll never go away specifically because a ton of people won't/can't get vaccinated.
Still nothing for kids under 12, while in the US 5 and up can be vaccinated.
Still masks only in school corridors, but not in classrooms. Still no masks or mitigations at all in primary schools.
The fake grass roots group "Us4them" has the ear of MPs, to try and push herd immunity via kids in schools.
“The gap between second doses and boosters is also being reduced from six to three months”
I think I’m at 7 months. I was going to get the booster but with Omicron perhaps it’s better to wait?
Maybe the idea is that we’re getting a second booster after the vaccine is adjusted for the new variant?
