Transport costs should be a temporary cost. It's not nothing, but transition of transportation to EVs will alleviate a lot of the carbon costs listed here.

Basically, anything done now to switch off of any power source involved construction (carbon), materials (carbon), and lifecycle costs (carbon).

Although it would probably help if we weren't using PWR and MASSIVE containment shells and instead had modular LFTRs that don't need that.

It's so hard to talk nuclear, because it's so hamstrung by old designs, and the old interests (fuel reprocessors and reactor makers) soooo want to pretend there isn't other designs that threaten their current monopolies.
