Facial photos required to enter stores with a mask

Interesting how mask wearing has likely emboldened store theft… and also interesting to see responses such as this.

I can empathize with the store owner’s desire and rights to preclude theft and shoppers have plenty of alternatives if they don’t like it. But I’m curious what privacy considerations or vulnerabilities may be anticipated by this sort of practice (e.g. if the imagery is high quality, poorly protected, and stored indefinitely)…
