How do you guys clean and prevent getting spammed?
I find it annoying to find constantly clean, block, and report spam from my email and sms? Not really fan of the alternative of creating new email and switching sms as when I do that I still get spammed.
Filtering is kinda awful tbh, occasionally i would miss a message that is relatively important.
The worst part is they've programatically made it so that the senders phone number / email changes everyday one option: only ever give out your e-mail address with a "+[domain or service you're signing up for]", ex. signing up for a HN account? kevin+hn@your-domain.com. Then filter out any e-mails that don't have that +[whatever] in. No, not a panacea. But can cut down a bit on spam. A fun side effect is you can see where the spammers get your email. Sometimes a company has a DB leak and the emails are all over the dark web. Thanks for that advice, yeah i should've done this sooner Could try Firefox Relay and keep your true mail shielded. oh nice this is pretty cool like the apple hide my email You may be able to install spam blocker apps for sms that filter on keywords. I do that for political stuff and it works pretty well. good to know ill try to look for some apps and see how it goes
