Higher pay, less red tape: U.S. effort to recruit talent to fight cyber attacks
cbsnews.comHopefully, this fixes the pay cap on the current positions. Government contractors would receive compensation of 25%-50% more than federal employees for the same work. It is hard to retain federal employees when private sector are poaching these employees because they already have the training, skills, and security clearance.
I’ll believe it when I see it. Many of the Federal IT jobs are internal-only and are in Washington DC.
Sadly, I don’t fall into the under-30 demographics anymore but it’s so many hurdles if you’ve been in industry and want a change.
So instead of fixing the system they want to "fight back".
Where are the job postings posted actually?
Almost all government agencies use USAJOBS for job postings. For DHS/CISA: https://www.usajobs.gov/Search/Results?a=HSCA
NSA, FBI, and CIA have their own internal job application website (or used to).
