Why Women Don't Invest in Crypto
medium.comMen are notorious for being fooled into bad investments with FOMO.
In the movie Boiler Room they tell trainees to hang up if they get a woman in the phone and have the rule ‘Don’t Pitch the Bitch.’
The author could have ASKED some women this question. Then she could have written about their actual answers, maybe also comparing their answers to the answers of a few men.
I like this book
https://www.amazon.com/Aftermath-Feminism-Culture-Representa...
which puts the smackdown on this kind of text which steals the language of feminism to promote self-serving narratives. I am also a fan of
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Logic_of_Collective_Action
which explains the agony of any "movement" that serves the interests of a large group (say 50% of the population.) The gist of it is that activism is a business. A small group can take a small amount from everybody else with a small amount of effort. For instance Virginia Slims can stage a fake "protest" to encourage woman to smoke easily. A group that authentically serves all women (or all men, or workers in general) faces terrible agency problems (e.g. leadership can steal a few percent of the money that goes by, and feed the rest back into fundraising)
I'm 100% certain that they do though.
My wife has invested in a small amount of crypto. Not much, but still, ore than zero.
