Ask HN: Is passwordless login a good idea?
The other day, out of frustration, I had an idea for a product that uses Stripe as a backend for user authentication and authorization.
I feel like user management is unnecessarily complex, and I dread every time I need to implement it in my products, mainly because it's outside the scope of what they should do, and I think I'm not alone.
I hacked a quick prototype to validate my idea, and it works pretty well, so what am I missing here? You should be using the accepted FIDO2/WebAuthn standard

I think the next step would be trying to hack/crack your solution ;) It'd be pretty interesting to see what you came up with, but for a product I'm building I decided to give "outseta.com" a try (not affiliated) and picked up the laziest way of just purchasing my way out of implementing auth...
