The climate disaster is here
theguardian.comIs anyone else struggling with staying positive about possibly adding a new generation to this world? Any tips on dealing with this? I've voted for the last decade to prioritize climate change issues, but it feels like a defeatist endeavour. I suppose I could do more. Cut out meat entirely, so maybe I'm just a hypocrite. Reading reports like this just confirms what we already know. So, why isn't more being done by global economies? "I've got mine"? Why do we keep on with such a wasteful way of life? Covid restrictions lift, and people immediately flock to airplanes to go on holidays. Maybe I just need to go for a walk.

Stop watching the news and their tendency to make everything an urgency or a huge problem. Because most of the time they do it just for clicks. Thats their business model.

Well this is my fifth decade of “10 years to save the earth from climate destruction” if that eases your worry a bit.
