Ask HN: Any interest in a text based wireframing tool?
I've tried balsamiq/figma for low fidelity wireframing but the mouse UX feels slow (even with shortcuts)
Text powered tools like websequencediagrams.com/# and https://dbdiagram.io/d are really much quicker after the initial learning curve.
Thought there should be a text based tool to quickly flesh out some low fidelity wireframes
Little gif showing the concept: https://media.giphy.com/media/C4MVllEw4h6zm6Tnuv/giphy.gif
Thought I'd post and ask on HN to see if there is any appetite for such a little tool or is it just me avoiding a few mouse clicks?
Any/every feedback welcome.
Would you use a text based wireframing tool? What use case and what features would be essential?
For those curious on the tech, the approach is a mix of ANTLR and generating html from a simpler grammar.
Thanks I didn't know about salt! The internet is full of lovely tools! Although it does look generate really dated looking pictures but definitely interested in looking at its parser etc. Thanks!
