What Apple employee unrest over remote work says about the future of the office

Does apple offer 1-2 person offices for their staff or is it open seating throughout the ring facility? If it’s the latter, I would have difficulty thinking of an environment less conducive to concentrating on a problem or debugging. And if everybody tries to deal with open seating with noise cancelling headphones, silent ringers and baffles to reduce side vision, what’s the point? And without pretty serious air filtration, can companies risk airborne contagion anymore?
