Why aren't they accused of the same thing in the USA? we know that they favor a side... happens to be the same side as HN

    Because in the USA (and the West), they use subtlety and deniability.

    If you follow American media, you will actually see accusations against Facebook, Apple, Google, etc. "censoring" content all the time. Have they gone as far in America as what the article indicates; removal of applications in Russia associated with candidates that oppose Putin? I am not aware of any American legal action that has been used to remove applications that are allied with or against any political parties or candidates. It would be quite a revelation if there was such an action!
