Why do any of these NFTs need to exist? I fundamentally do not understand.
There is no market for my concert ticket stubs. Why would there be a market for my upgraded(?) NFT of my concert ticket?

Upgraded version of your NFTs will have a definite value pointer, that in the future will be owned by a handful.
The new market is being created by a fresh generation of collectors & enthusiasts :)
