Nothing has changed. Bluffers will occasionally get called. That's part of the game. Holmes inhaled deeply of the SV stash. I am not sure whether she needs to experience the full wrath of the law, because her case is so typical (with bigger $ values). What needs to change is the incentives.

True believers in technology need to revisit and recommit to the idea that breakthrough tech is a windfall for all, in terms of human benefit, not as a profit center.

Go forth, and make things that are good for people, even at a loss. Go make things that are good for people, that help the helpless, that prop up the weak, even if it means you fail.

    Profitability is a good measure of how sustainable a business is. It's an objective measurement.
