OpenAI codex solving unseen competitive programming problems

This is scary as hell. I spent years “learning to code” only to have to compete with language models. Maybe codex isn’t so good yet but It’ll only get better and scarier. I probably have 5 or 10 more years left before the field is totally automated, except for an elite fraction of humans, and I don’t know what to do then.
