Show HN: Dear Intern
dearintern.netI was so enamored of the Twitter responses to the HBO intern's test email, that I decided to build a site that could collect and curate these kinds of "I also made a professional mistake, it's OK" stories. Mine is the first user-submitted one on the site, I would love to hear more. Please share your own stories with the rest of the world and normalize learning from mistakes.
Thanks!
I had a related idea in 2009, building a Twitter bot called @sorrymom.
The idea was you tell it something “bad” you have done, and she reassures you it is okay.
Nice gesture. It’s reassuring to remember many people have screwed massively at work, and it’s almost always because of a broken process rather than a failure of their abilities
The horror when cassie realised she was using the wrong calendar. They should have said something.
It was just an email, no?
I’d feel a little weird if people that took down entire services were telling me that it’s “ok”.
Could be the new dailywtf!
