What is your backup if the tech industry crashes?

Back to how I worked before our company got it's first PC in 1987, but not ethernet until 1998.

Drive around talking to people, phone, hand written letters, Spirax #561 paper notepad. (GTD device: write in a reminder chronologically, cross it off when done)

Productivity = work/time will tank.

My 1990's employer didn't network our PCs as the boss thought we'd be 'cyberbludging'.

This was probably fair, but the spare time we gained through IT productivity far outweighed any increased loafing.

An important gain preemptive action, you can now 'cut things off at the pass' before you could drive there.

Well, general labor in my state has gotten anywhere between $15-$22 per hour so probably that and code when I'm not working. I just saw some warehouse jobs where they're so desperate they're giving $2000 sign on bonuses plus $18/hr starting. Blows my mind I worked for less than that the majority of my life.

    Same, food industry will never crash and it always can be improved with some computer technologies.

Just out of curiosity… what tech industry crash scenario do you have in mind? Unless we are going back to Middle Ages, I can’t imagine how this could happen

None. I’ll just keep developing things that people might want to use, money or not.
