Mate Selection for Modernity

I find it fascinating that extreme intelligence and talent seems to diminish the raw survival fitness of our species in an evolutionary sense. But these same high achievers are likely to have monumental success in technology, politics, business, or science. So although the "host" will fail to reproduce some "idea" of theirs will likely propagate for decades or centuries.

It seems to me that in the environment of the planet Earth, the achievements or "memes" we create are crowding us out for survival.

I think the rate of change in tech & culture (and therefore the attitudes) in last 50-70 years is way more than our societies can cope-up with.

It almost feels like things are in so much great flux today in every aspect of our life than anytime in the past.
