Facebook now worth a trillian dollars and by extension Peter thiel's other company Palantir is worth 50 billion. Tech companies just seem to have momentum after they find product-market fit.
Capital is infinite but time is finite. How long before Peter's other company is worth trillion dollars is anyones guess.
Someone pointed out (on Twitter!) that junk bonds are down below 4%. That's lower than investment grade during most of recorded history.
What I'm saying is that it's hard to find an objective reference point for what Facebook is worth, but there are things where you can kind of place their price on an absolute scale. And they are getting pretty extreme.
