Hollywood Is Disguising the Results of Its TV Shows and Movies
bloomberg.comHow do you know whether a TV series is made in America? There's a gun in the advertising clips.
Personally, I consider American movies and TV to be over-the-top melodrama, and I prefer British movies and TV because they are (generally) quite understated and thus more realistic.
Of course, YMMV.
My wife watched a few seasons of "Line of Duty", a British production. The first episodes of at least two seasons had persons with automatic rifles ambushing police convoys. This may happen from time to time in Sinaloa, but in England?
<grin> Note I said "generally".
On the other hand, there ARE a few exceptional, extremely gritty, British shows. But the mainstream British shows are more realistic, true to life than mainstream US shows.
They have built a "tooth paste aisle". I can't even remember the hit Netflix shows I watched last year. Its basically toothpaste now. Welcome to Future Shock.
Expecting management robots to explain what they are doing is a joke. They are replaced at higher frequencies than the shows.
