The article has a negative tone, but the real story is an optimistic one! Apple investing in this space is very exciting. I'm still a happy FitBit user, but love what Apple has been doing.

In the future everyone will have many real time sensors on/in their body, an AI health assistant "doctor in their pocket", their medical records will stay with them (not be scattered across different providers), and they will have an organized and strongly typed copy of all our medical knowledge.
