I'd like to (help a friend, of course) make an informed, interval estimate of the present value of an equity position in an early-stage startup.

I'm looking for a dataset of startups and their outcomes (IPO, failure, still going) and some recordings of valuations vs. time. Additional dimensions for each startup that would be nice:

    => VCs that backed the startup
    => non-VC funding
    => funding rounds & amounts & maybe leading VC
    => startup's founding date
    => industry, market, segment, etc.
