Ask HN: Tool to create personal Wayback Machine
I would like to create local archive of certain websites/webpages like interesting articles I read in a way that I can later read them in case they are deleted. Wayback Machine is great but I would like to have more control over the files. Are there any good Chrome extensions or software that I could install to make it as easy as possible to store websites/webpages. ArchiveBox has already been mentioned, but you should also check out some of the other projects mentioned in the wiki here: https://github.com/ArchiveBox/ArchiveBox/wiki/Web-Archiving-... Especially https://archiveweb.page, SingleFile, and Archivy. https://pinboard.in/ is one, but it's paid. ...the archiveteam wiki might have some approaches that might fit your use case. Then there is always HTTrack.
