Humble Bundle to limit charity split to 15%
blog.humblebundle.comFeels like the end of an era, previously I would always set charity to 100%, I figure the vast majority of these games make their money back via DLC. ( Or they're old enough where they no longer are expecting significant revenue).
I primarily like them for content curation, for example To the Moon is an amazing game I would have never found without them. Let's hope there's a bit of backlash here, and they have to back down from this.
I did the exact same thing, 100% to charity every time. It makes me wonder if there were a lot of people also doing that. It would certainly explain the new 15% cap.
Given how Humble started. I always figured it was meant to be a charitable organization. Even if they have changed a lot and become more of a proper store these days. While I wouldn't give 100% to charity. It was probably something like 90/10 between charity and Humble themselves. So it's a shame to see it reduced so much.
