I've discussed the idea of having a lot of copies of the AHD and always carrying one with you.

This reads like a (dark) comedy of errors, at almost every point a health professional could have helped them die well, at home, some process intervened to ruin it.

Truly this would make a wonderful, cathartic BBC drama.
