edition.cnn.comI don't see how this is legal. Two people can be equally poor, but if you're black you get $500 a month, but if you're white or Asian you don't get anything?
According to them white people have inherent privilege, so it's easier for them to not be poor lol. If you accept their assumptions - it's more or less coherent I think.
Maybe I am mistaken but I don't think the city can give away money and call it non-taxable. The state sets income tax laws as does the federal government. Even if CA as a state decided not to tax it, doesn't mean the federal government couldn't or wouldn't tax it.
Is there something I am missing?
