Did I miss something? NFT's do exist on a particular blockchain, they even go through the current ones in the article. Why is that a trick question?

    Yeah I don't see it as a trick either, it's the most basic question to ask with a specific answer.

      I think it depends on whether you're talking about the transaction containing the NFT metadata (on chain) or the actual data the NFT references in that metadata (ipfs, etc.)

Can we just change mining to how many pounds of garbage you can burn? Would probably be better for the environment.
