Ask HN: Any projects turning your phone into a database?
I'm very conflicted with the rise of smart home products. On the one hand I would love to automate things and go with the tech trend. But man, streaming my life to a tech company feels very creepy. Are there project trying to solve this?
I'm thinking about an app which turns your phone into a database for this use case. Just curious if you heard of any. Does it have to be a phone or can it be a raspberry pi?
