NFT's will disrupt the entire sw engineering world
AMA is there any reason why this isn't yet another hyped up get rich quick scheme just like ICOs? because this 'NFT' thing reminds me of when ICO's where the biggest thing on the planet with even celebrities getting in on it. and the same hype cycle is happening again with 'NFTs'. Yes. NFT’s are so big you have no idea. They will turn the world upside down. Everybody becomes an artist. We all get rich. And we break out of the financial matrix. this is HUGE, how can I invest in your NFT startup?!? What is NFT and how will it disrupt the entire software engineering field ? NFT’s allow you to package up digital content and then auction it off to the highest bidder. So am engineer could write some kick-ass software, package it in an NFT, and then monetize it. They could sell a percentage of it, all of it, or none of it, turning it into a startup. And startups sometimes moon. And make people very rich. Eventually I think all engineers will package their work up like this and publish it on some kind of marketplace. Like an Amazon for magic. who's going to pay for code site unseen and trust it works the way it supposed or even integrate it ? Digital art, videos, etc.. make sense. Its about exclusivity and uniquness. I can write fizzbuzz, thousands of different ways and differences are minimal. Once I get a glance at how you write fizz buzz, I can copy it with minimal changes. Exclusivity of code is not worth anything. Are these NFT's exclusive to ethereum? I should hope so for ethereum's sake. How will they be used to disrupt software? No they aren’t. They are on Bitcoin Cash, and about 100 others projects. Each one brands itself slightly differently. The market will ultimately decide which one it likes. On your other question, I’m copying and pasting my other comment: NFT’s allow you to package up digital content and then auction it off to the highest bidder.
