Anybody trying to build a social network nowadays should have clear precise goals. Is it only to make money? Why not, but it should then be no surprise if things turn sour. Is it to “connect the world” ? The world is already connected and it is too vague, a slogan and nothing more, almost devoid of meaning.
Yeah I completely agree strong foundational principles are important so that when the network scales you have something to guide you when making decisions.
