Twitter marking tweets containing disinformation does not reduce its impact

Duh. But I suppose we had to try, since it was the easy thing to do (marking obviously false and misleading postings).

Anybody could have told you it would fail. But since the alternatives are much, much, much harder, it's no surprise that we put off even pretending to think about them.
