YouTube suspends and demonetizes OAN news channel over Covid-19 video

I don't know about you, but all of these seemingly agreeable anti-disinformation measures look a lot like censorship when applied so heavy handedly. You would think that the video in question would be demonetized but the rest of the channel's content would remain unmolested. What about all the other non-Covid content that the channel is prevented from uploading during the suspension?

    That would be kind of like making the penalty for shoplifting be that you have to pay the retail price of the item. It wouldn't discourage you from trying the same thing again.

    Censorship is applied unevenly, with judgement calls favoring some creators over others. You ask about "all the other non-Covid content that the channel is prevented from uploading during the suspension". I think that is the whole point. An excuse has been found to suppress that content. OAN is despised by the people who work for YouTube. Had this content come from CNN or MSNBC, the YouTube fact checkers would have accepted it as the new facts, or at least found some other way to be lenient.
