Did Tech Crunch wake up today? India has been going strong for the past 5 years, if not the past decade.

It seems so. India didn't get quite as much coverage as it is getting now for some reason. And strangely enough, India is being mentioned in the news more often than before for the same things it had been doing before ( on a greater extent now though but the nature of those activities is pretty much the same ).

5 years back it was China, when China was doing strongly in tech since 2010ish. Now that China has been barred, they're looking at the next billion person market. Or at least that's what I think it is.

Might be a bit true but China still gets a lot of coverage. Imo, anything that's on the Indian, Chinese, American or EU startup scene gets a lot of coverage these days.

The EU startup scene doesn't get much coverage tbh, because it sucks tbh. Downvote me (if anyone is out there), but the EU squandered away its intellectual capital by entrenching the incumbents. I mean, why the heck does Deutsche Bank even exist?
