Ask HN: Who is making money with HTML5 Games?
I run a blog and gaming site focused on web games. We would like to interview some HTML5 developers about their cash flow situations. Saw this comment about someone making around $1500 per month with an online solitaire game: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=23666935 Not a developer but I guess most HTML5 game developers are focusing on itch.io etc platforms for money. Apparently, Html5 game can't compete with native games on your mobile phones and should be only count for a very tiny part of ecosystem. Would be curious to read this blog post! Working on a 4x strategy game. Launching end of month. (www.stepstowar.com) Many poker sites make bank with HTML5 clients :) Currently building one that will launch this year. Pre-revenue, 5 figures spent on development, art and other expenses. Maybe /u/tobspr, creator of Shapez.io, or @Orteil42, creator of cookie clicker ?
