Ask HN: Is Consumer Tech more boring than it used to be?
Over the past few years, I've noticed that new tech releases aren't receiving the same level of excitement that tech releases even 5-6 years ago typically generated.
What's behind this phenomenon? Are we satisfied with the way that many tech product lines have matured, and don't need to look forward to new features? Has innovation slowed down? Also there seem to be fewer disruptive startups these days.
