Ask HN: IRL problems in computer networks?
For my final year project, I have a pretty broad topic: "Develop a software that attempts to solve a real problem in computer networks domain".
That being said, being an undergrad student, I have no clue what people's current pain points are with networking. So, can I get some suggestions for things I can look into for inspiration. Ideally issues where a one man party can attempt to make a dent over the course of next year or so.
(Over last few months I've been exploring WebSockets and WebRTC, while it's just been testing out features and checking out some projects, I enjoyed reading about communication beyond the regular HTTP model. If I were to choose, I'd try out something in this field. Then again, it's just because I've explored a bit of this field, and my opinion would probably differ were I to look into another sub-domain of internet technologies)
