Engagement with NY-Times after SlateStarCodex fallout hasn't tapered
An observation as I'm just logging in/browsing for first time after the slatestarcodex shutdown post a couple of days ago and was intrigued to see NYtimes still enjoys very good engagement on HackerNews and other websites.
I see some ~31 posts in the last 24 hours with 599 cumulative pts. Two articles north of 100pts - and another on the front page at time of writing. Honestly I was expecting something of a backlash from the online community based on the initial reactions in that thread (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=23610416) and so it's interesting to see that this hasn't been the case.
to be perfectly clear - I'm not suggesting in anyway that people should or should not engage with NY Times.
