Ubuntu 20.04 LTS Set Up OpenVPN Server in 5 Minutes
cyberciti.bizPersonal opinion: consider going with Wireguard instead.
From the same site as above here is a link to setting up Wireguard. I was a bit mystified with Wireguard before reading this guide. https://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/ubuntu-20-04-set-up-wireguard-...
My personal opinion is going with ZeroTier instead, had more trouble with wireguard then its worth (V likely issue on our end, Ds-lite users couldn't connect, handshakes not working until wireguard server /firewall restarts etc) meanwhile ZeroTier was on all devices 0 setup apart of setting dns servers (+ busted through all firewalls the users had /corporate it's)
Zerotier has changed my life.
Stop reading and try it right now anyone reading this who isn't familiar with it
I can't figure out how it works, any links?
Is Wireguard proven to be resilient to edge case scenarios and general network instabilities?
The entire idea behind it is to reduce edge cases by not supporting legacy algos.
It reconnects insanely fast so overall stability shouldn't be an issue even if it hits a speedbump
newbie to VPN stuff, mind giving reasons why?
