Europe’s PEPP-PT contacts tracing push could be at odds with Apple and Google

This is a strategic public health issue and it is normal that it be managed by governments and not by anarchic private initiatives. Access to and processing of data by authorities and health agencies is key to these apps.

The article is frustratingly vague, but as far as I can tell, this group wants more centralization, not less, and their problem with Apple/Google's proposal is it has too much privacy, not too little.
