Shortage of Respirators Covid-19

Hello,

I have been a Hacker News reader for years, but I have never posted before.

I am regularly amazed by the high level of discussions and exchanges. It is great.

That is why I would like to submit the following problem to you.

I live in Belgium and because of the Covid-19, we have a shortage of respirators. In my opinion the problem will be the same in other countries.

A respirator costs 50,000 € / $.

All of you, geeks, nerds, software and hardware guys, couldn't you help solve this problem by designing a respirator yourself ? Maybe not the best, but enough to save lives ...
