I wouldn’t call that jank. I call it the text you’re trying to read disappears just as your eyes focus on it. I found it literally unreadable.
Wow someone updated the site by adding dimensions to the img elements so text doesn’t jump all over. Thanks!

I did, but I was so distracted by the vast amount of whitespace (and 3x normal the amount of scrolling required) that I don't remember anything.
Tested it on Chrome and Firefox on Mac, the Jank are all about the same. Left the site and couldn't be bother to read it.
May be we need a State of Webpage in 2019.
Same. I have an uber-PC for 4k gaming, and it chugs scrolling down that page. Even takes a moment to close the tab.
There's a lot of cute animations on the page. Each loads as you scroll. A bit pointless and thin on content, but entertaining.
If 9% contributed code, that sounds like a really biased sampling
